  1. So I don’t know if you see this, but my mind saw something creative in all the albums Alien Youth and up. Starting with Alien Youth, it is about a new teenager who is finding out about what life really is. Then comes Collide, which is about how this teenager then confronts the forces of tempation and the path of righteousness. In Comatose he goes away from God and its like he is sleeping and in pain, and knows that he has to go back. In Awake, he finally comes back and realizes all the mistakes, problems, and bad things in his life. And finally in Rise, which is a story of its own, tells how he fights back every day of his life and at the end of RIse, finally knows the love of God and is able to fight against sin everyday.

Yes? No? Maybe so? What do you think?

    • Believe it or not, I actually have had the same kind of thought process. John isn’t perfect. Neither is Korey, nor Jen or Seth or anyone. They’re public figures who take their public image very seriously, but everybody has faults. With the exploration of the storyline on the albums the way we mutually see it, I think it’s John chronicling his life through his own struggles. Everyone has questions about God and seeks to find answers, and I think they put all of that passion into their music to answer the questions other people may have, too. John’s been doing this since he was 21, he’s had a lot of growing up to do, just the way everyone else in the world does as well. I’ve always admired how they kind of keep to a general storyline, and honestly it makes me happy I’m not the only one who has noticed that. Panheads unite, my friend, and thank you for the comment 🙂
