The Line Between Love and Hate

We walk the thinnest line
Between love and hate.
A pressure inside consumes
Every thought, feeling and word;
Oblivious to the life
We thought we could endure.
Hatred fuels deep
While love continues to dance,
A hollow spasm of sorrow
Lapsed to the brink of destruction.
The past lies rightfully in the past
As the future remains a taunting vision,
Screaming for hope to one day erase
The memories of your lost devotion
